Have a kind act to share?
Singa can't wait to hear from you!
The Write to Singa campaign encourages preschool and primary school children to reflect on kindness and express their thoughts through writing or drawing. By sharing a kind act they have done, witnessed, or a meaningful experience they would like to talk about, children are given a safe and age-appropriate platform to practise empathy, reflection, and self-expression.

Children may write a short letter or draw a picture to tell Singa the Kindness Lion, about their thoughts, feelings, and kind moments. These activities support social-emotional learning and help children recognise that kindness can be shown in simple, everyday ways at home, in school, and in the community.

Write to Singa is a regular feature in every issue of Kindsville Times and Agents of Kindness (A-OK!). Each issue includes a guiding theme or question to support classroom discussions and parent-child conversations, helping adults facilitate meaningful reflection and reinforce positive values through shared experiences.

What Can Children Write About?
Children may choose to respond to the theme in the latest issue of Kindsville Times or A-OK!, or share anything kind that is on their mind. For example:

  • A kind act they did for someone
  • A kind act they witnessed, or that someone did for them
  • A moment when they helped someone or made someone’s day better
  • A challenge they faced and how they kept going
  • A thank-you message to someone who showed them kindness

Children can express themselves through writing, drawing, or a combination of both. Every small act of kindness can make a big difference.

A Note from Singa
Singa loves receiving letters and drawings from children! Because Singa gets many letters from friends all over Singapore, it may take a few months for him to write back.

Please be patient while Singa carefully reads every letter and prepares a special reply just for you. Every letter is important to Singa, and he can’t wait to write back when it’s your turn.

Hear from you soon!
