Singa As Your Peer Support Leader

Singa isn’t just our kindness mascot, he can also be your school’s Peer Support Leader, guiding students to practise kindness in everyday spaces. By bringing Singa into your school environment, students are reminded that kindness isn’t only taught in class but lived out in the canteen, corridors, playground and beyond.

Ideas to bring this to life in your school:

1. Recess Room Makeover: Create a “Kindness Recess Room” with cubbies holding the 5 Magic Words (Please, Sorry, Thank You, Excuse Me, May I). SKM can provide the foam board cubbies upon request.

2. Kindsville Reading Corner: Set up a cosy spot with Kindsville Times for students to read, reflect, and share stories of kindness.

3. Kindness Games Zone: Turn your floor into a Snake & Ladder – Kindness Edition, where every step highlights acts of kindness or gracious habits.

4. Peer Support Campaigns:

  • Engage students to design posters, pledge walls, or mini-games that includes Singa (in your school uniform).
  • Create kindness posters or murals with encouraging messages for peers.
  • Set up a Kindness Pledge Wall, where students can write their promises to show empathy, respect, and support.
  • Run Kindness Buddy Notes, students can jot down slips of encouragement on Singa & the kindness cubbies letter pads to share with their classmates. SKM can provide the letter writing pads upon request.
  • Organise Peer Check-in Days, where students remind each other to practise the 5 Magic Words and share kind acts.

5. Letters to Singa: Encourage students to write to Singa about challenges or kind acts they’ve seen. Every letter receives a personalised reply and an exclusive gift!

(Selected projects may be co-funded by SKM to help bring your ideas to life).
